Add These 11 Indoor Plants To Your Room Immediately

 Indoor plants or house plants are kept mainly to enhance the environment of a room or an office to make people feel more natural. Some indoor plants do only the work of decorative pieces whereas some perform as air purifier. Today in this post I'm gonna tell you guys about some good looking and air purifying indoor plants which are easy to maintain and need minimum care.....


1. Spider Plant :

One of the easiest indoor plants to maintain, the Spider Plant produces oxygen whilst purifying the air in your home and office by absorbing carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and xylene. Additionally, Spider Plants are non-toxic and are in fact edible, making them safe for pets and young children.
                     Place the plant in bright to moderate light in a room that's a comfortable temperature for everyone. Keep the soil slightly moist. Once-a-week watering is sufficient in spring and summer; in winter, allow the soil to dry a bit more between waterings. 


2. Snake Plant :

Similar to other household succulents, snake plants help to filter indoor air. Snake plants are also known for their ability to help remove toxic air pollutants. Though in small contributions, snake plants can absorb cancer-causing pollutants, including CO2, benzene, formaldehyde, xylene, and toluene.
                            Too much water and too much sun is not good for this plant. Therefore it has to be given limited water and indirect sunlight.

 Many people believe that money plants brings wealth and prosperity. You guys should definitely try see if it works. Money plant is basically an air purifier and anti radiator as well as good looking. There are many varieties of money plants like golden, split-leaf, marbled etc. You can go for any of them.

                Money Plants are to be watered once or twice a week but if your plant is getting more light you have to provide more water. That's the golden rule of watering plants! 


4. Syngonium :

It is an excellent C02 absorbing plant which works as a superb air purifier. This beautiful plant is not just eye-candy but also has the quality to clean the indoor air you breathe! Syngonium boosts humidity and reduces dry air.

                    Syngoniums are quite hardy and not fastidious about soil. A mixture of coarse sand and leaf mould is a traditional potting medium for Syngoniums.        Syngoniums like hot and humid climate. Keep the plant in the sun now and then to maintain the color of foliage. Syngonium needs moderate light watering.


5. Coin Plant :

Now we will talk about Coin Plant or Pilea peperomioides. It is believed that Coin plants are a true source of providing happiness, prosperity and positivity. Coin Plant does not often flower as a houseplant, but when it does, the flowers are small and white with pink stems. 

                    This plant needs indirect medium sunlight and it is to be watered once in a week or two. Normal room temperature and humidity is completely fine for this plant. The Coin plant prefers a well-draining potting soil, and a pot with drainage holes is necessary. The soil needs to mostly dry out between waterings, with more watering required in warmer, sunnier weather. If the leaves start to look slightly droopy, that's a sign that the plant needs water.


6. Aloe Vera :

Aloe Vera is widely used for the its gel and juice which is used to heal and soften skin and it is also useful for the digestive system.

                Place your aloe in a bright, sunny place. Otherwise it will go dormant and stop growing. Water the plant heavily about once every two weeks, waiting until the soil dries out fully. Since this is a desert species, keeping the dirt moist will cause the roots to rot.


7. Jade Plant :

    With their thick, woody stems and oval-shaped leaves, jade plants have a miniature, tree-like appearance that makes them very appealing for use as a decorative houseplant. They live for a very long time, often being passed down from generation to generation and reaching heights of three feet or more when grown indoors.

  •                             Jade needs lots of light—at least 4 hours per day in a south-facing or west-facing window. Keep soil moist but not wet during the growing season (spring and summer) and let the soil dry out during the dormant season (fall and winter). Don't splash the leaves when you water.


8. Cactus(Some) :

Although cacti are known for their love of sunlight, many thrive as indoor plants. Add one to your windowsill or living space for some unique décor. Indoor cacti tend to need less light and are smaller in size, making them the perfect houseplant. One of the options would be Bunny ear Cactus.



9. ZZ plant :

ZZ Plant



The naturally shiny leaves of the ZZ plant require little effort to maintain their good looks. Simply dust them off with a damp cloth (leaf sprays may damage the foliage). ZZ plants also do well in medium/bright, indirect light. Keep in mind that all parts of the plant are toxic, so keep away from children and pets.

                ZZ plants store water in their semi-succulent stems so you may only need to water every couple weeks. Overwatering can do more damage than underwatering, so don't allow the soil to become soggy.


10. Rubber Plant :

It is a low maintenance air purifying plant which has no allergic properties. Above all it is so good looking and minimalistic that it will give your house or apartment an aesthetic look.  

                Rubber plant thrives in medium to bright indirect light, and can tolerate bright direct light. It has to be watered every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings.


11. Succulents :

Succulents instantly uplift the mood of the room by enhancing the room décor. They help in purifying air and work as a great decorative pieces on office tables and study desks.

                Succulents need 6 hours of light minimum daily. It has to be given the correct type of soil and the correct amount of water as it is a very delicate plant. Succulents are a little bit expensive but I assure you it is worth the money.
