Must Read Agatha Christie Novels
I love reading detective and thriller books. And my favorite among the writers are 'The Queen of Crime'- Agatha Christie. I will not go into her life history but I would definitely tell you the most popular and must read books of her and also provide you guys with a blurb.
1. The Mysterious Affair At Styles :
This is Hercule Poirot's first case. After the Great War, life can never be the same again. Wounds need healing and the horror of violent death banished into memory.
Captain Arthur Hastings is invited to the rolling country estate of Styles to recuperate from injuries sustained at the front. It is the last place where he expects to encounter murder. Fortunately he knows a former detective, a Belgian refugee, who has grown bored of retirement....
2. The ABC Murders :
Murder is a very simple crime. But at the hands of a maniac, a serial killer, it becomes a very complicated business.
With the whole country in the state of panic, the killer is growing more confident with each execution-Mrs Ascher in Andover, Betty Bernard in Bexhill, Sir Carmichael Clarke in Churston...
But laying a trail of deliberate clues to taunt the proud Hercule Poirot might just be his first mistake.
3. Murder on the Orient Express :
'The murderer is with us- on the train now...'
Just after midnight, the famous Orient Express is stopped in its tracks by a snowdrift. A passenger lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from inside.
Isolated by the storm and with the killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the prime suspects from a scornful and impatient array of passengers- before the murderers decided to strike again....
4. Death on the Nile :

5. Evil Under the Sun :
'To my mind that woman's a personification of evil!
She's a bad lot through and through'
It was not unusual to find the beautiful bronzed body of the sun-loving Arlena Stuart stretched out on a beach, face down. Only, on this occasion, there was no sun...
she had been strangled.
6. Five Little Pigs :
'A case of murder is a case of murder whether it happened yesterday or sixteen years ago.'
A twenty-first birthday is a time for celebration. A time to look forward to the future, to marrying your fiancé. A time to forget that your father was poisoned by your mother, and she died in prison when you were 5 years old.
Carla's coming-of-age present is a letter telling her that Mummy was innocent. desperate to clear her mother's name, she asks Hercule Poirot to go back and interview the original suspects: a stockbroker(who went to the market); his brother(who stayed at home); socialite(who had roast beef); their governess(who had none); and a disfigured young archaeologist(who cried 'wee wee wee' all the way home) ....
7. Dumb Witness :
Everyone blamed Emily's accident on a rubber ball left on the stairs by her frisky terrier. But the more she thought about her fall, the more convinced she became that one of her relatives was trying to kill her.
On April 17th she wrote of her suspicions to Hercule Poirot. Mysteriously he didn't receive the letter until 28th June - by which Emily was already dead....
8. And Then There Were None :
'Ten..'
Ten strangers are lured into an island mansion off the Devon coast by a mysterious 'U.N Owen'
'Nine...'

9. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd :
Roger Ackroyd knew too much. He knew that the woman he loved had poisoned her brutal first husband. He suspected also that someone had been blackmailing her. Now, tragically, came the news that she had taken her own life with a drug overdose.
But the evening post brought Roger one last fatal scrap of information. Unfortunately, before he could finish the letter, he was stabbed to death.
Perfect...agree with your list.
